Clarification to all “Early Bird” Registrants

There has been many questions and misconceptions regarding early bird registrations, and hopefully this notice will clear things up. To be considered an “early bird” registrant, your unit needed to register for the event, estimate your participation level, and pay the $100 deposit, prior to April 15th. 500 units have done this and are now eligible to participate at the discounted fee. The participation level you estimated is intended to be just that – an estimate. That number is being used by the Campaganza Staff to allocate camping space, and to size the number of activities. When you make your “final” payment (prior to June 15), you then commit to the number of participants. In order to facilitate this process, each pre-registered unit will receive in the near future a letter by mail, with further instructions and a log in “user name” and a password. Using these credentials, you will see the information you previously submitted – Unit Number, Unit Type, Council, District, and estimated participation. When you prepare for final registration, you will update the estimated participation number to the exact number you have attending whether it is larger or smaller than your original estimate. AS LONG AS YOU HAVE MET THE APRIL 15TH EARLY BIRD REQUIREMENTS, ALL PARTICIPANTS YOU REGISTER PRIOR TO JUNE 15TH WILL BE ELIGIBLE FOR THE DISCOUNTED FEE, regardless of the number you estimated prior to April 15.

Further changes can be made to your registration after June 15th if necessary. Remember that if you have met the early bird requirements and paid in full (i.e. money actually to Westmoreland-Fayette Council) by June 15th, you can add an additional three participants at the discounted rate. Just use your login and password to add aditional people.

Hopefully this answers the many questions that have arisen over the past month. Pre-registration has been a success, with over 9,600 estimated participants. Campaganza will truly be a once-in-a-lifetime event! Be there!

There's only one place where you can experience "X-treme" Scouting in 2010 alongside 10,000 other Scouters.

It's at the first-ever Campaganza - a once-in-a-lifetime event that will bring together Scouts of all ages from across three states for an unforgettable Scouting experience.

Boy Scouts, Venture Crews, Cub Scouts and more are invited to this Jamboree-like event at Moraine State Park, nestled among the hills of Portersville, PA, and home to a 16,725-acre park, where camping, outdoor activities and exploration abound.

Scouts will have their fun with boating, archery, Scoutcraft, Patch Trading, and experience a massive Fireworks display and arena show featuring a nationally known rock band.

Mark your calendars and make your reservations today for the weekend of September 24-26, 2010, where you can experience all the fun, excitement and opportunity Scouting offers.
